Launched in April 2023, the Casio EDIFICE NISMO MY23 EDITION ECB-2000NIS boasts the graphic of NISMO ace car Nissan Z No. 23.
NISMO is the works team responsible for Nissan’s motorsports activities. On the other hand, EDIFICE is a high-performance watch that expresses the world view of motor sports. Casio EDIFICE has been supporting the team since 2021.
ECB-2000NIS is a high-performance watch that incorporates the machine design of Nissan Z No. 23, an ace car of NISMO that participates in SUPER GT, the highest race in Japan.
The base model is the ECB-2000, which uses carbon fiber reinforced resin for the case and features a design inspired by the suspension of a car. The top half of the dial is red and the bottom half is black, just like the coloring when viewed from the side.
The upper part of the dial is laid out with a graphic pattern inlaid with the letter “Z” on the machine, and the 23rd position of the index is treated with “23”, the ace car number of “Nissan/NISMO”. Inspired by the roofline inspired by a Japanese sword, parts of the side of the bezel have been scraped off to create a sharp curve, and other elements of the machine are expressed throughout the watch.
In terms of functionality, the mobile link function via Bluetooth® makes it easy to automatically adjust the time and set the world time. In addition, stopwatch measurement data can be transferred to the compatible app “CASIO WATCHES” to display lap times in units of 1/1000 second. It also has excellent practicality, such as being equipped with a tough solar that is driven by the light of the sun or fluorescent lamps.
