Seiko Watch Corporation is celebrating the 55th anniversary of its Seiko 5 Sports brand by unveiling a limited edition in collaboration with PEANUTS, the internationally beloved comic series. Two models are available: SRPK25 and SRPK27. These SKX Sense Style watches feature white dials, each with a design linked to the original PEANUTS art.
Snoopy appears on both SRPK25 and SRPK27 models, with his best friend Woodstock joining him on the latter. The images of the PEANUTS characters on these watches have been carried over from original cartoon strips in newspapers.
In the Seiko 5 Sports SRPK25 watch, Snoopy appears as a surfer on the dial and case-back. The surfboard on the dial is an original Seiko 5 Sports design.
In SRPK27 model’s dial, Snoopy is flying through the air as a helicopter, his floppy beagle ears serving as the propeller and his best friend Woodstock as the pilot. The parachute on the case back is an original Seiko 5 Sports design.
Moreover, the hand drawn script of Charles Schulz, the creator of the comic strip PEANUTS, is adopted on the bezel display of the SPRK25, on the dial of the SPRK27, and for the ‘LIMITED EDITION’ text of both case backs.
