Launched in March 2023, the Seiko 5 Sports 55th Anniversary Customize Campaign Limited Edition is comprised of four models selected from the 2022 “Show Your Love for Seiko 5 Sports Customize your watch”.
The above motioned campaign encouraged users to create and submit their own original Seiko 5 Sports watch by combining various components on the website. Seiko has created four SKX Sports Style references based on the most liked designs.
The first model from the Seiko 5 Sports 55th Anniversary Customize Campaign Limited Edition is SRPK03K1, a monochromatic silver-colored watch with a red seconds hand. It was inspired by an archival model from the 1960s.
The second one (SRPK05K1)’s bezel evokes the design of a 5 Sports archival model. The hour hand, minute hand, and indexes have classic gold coloring, and the orange seconds hand provides a vibrant accent.
The third watch (SRPK07K1) incorporates the bezel design of an original model from the archives. The orange dial and red seconds hand are a striking pairing.
The fourth model (SRPK08K1) features pink gold toned case, dial, and bracelet. It has a deep red bezel.
All the four references feature 42.5mm diameter cases. The movement is Seiko 4R36 Automatic Calibre with 41 hour power reserve and day-date display.
To commemorate the 55th anniversary of Seiko 5 Sports collection, the back cover of each watch is specially designed with the words “55th ANNIVERSARY SEIKO 5 SPORTS” and the serial number.
Each reference is limited to 1,968 pieces, as a node to the launching year of Seiko 5 Sports.
