Swiss luxury watch brand Oris presents the Hölstein Edition 2023, a purple-dial no-date Aquis inspired by the Oris community on the occasion of the company’s 119th birthday.
Oris was registered on 1 June, 1904. Since then, the company has been based at Hölstein, a beautiful village in the Swiss Jura Mountains. In 2020, to pay tribute to its origins, the brand introduced a 250-piece limited edition watch series named after Hölstein. Oris continues this tradition by launching subsequent editions on first June every year.
This year, the brand introduces a special Aquis diver’s watch with a purple dial as the fourth Hölstein Edition. As before, only 250 pieces will be made.
The watch is powered by Calibre 400, the revolutionary five-day automatic movement manufactured in-house by Oris. This calibre delivers elevated antimagnetism, better than chronometer accuracy (-3/+5 seconds a day) and the promise of 10- year service intervals and a 10-year warranty.
This out of the blue no-date Aquis in stainless steel is still a diver’s watch with water-resistance of 30 bar (300 metres). The stainless steel case-back is engraved with the limited-edition number and printed with an illustration of the Oris Bear, diving in his scuba gear.
