The new Yema Navygraf Marine Nationale GMT is a military-grade tool watch developed jointly with the French Navy. Dedicated to globetrotters, this new timepiece features a redesigned steel case, Marine Nationale dial, 24H GMT sapphire bezel and an in-house GMT movement.
Measuring 38.5 mm, the Navygraf’s 316L stainless steel case has been completely redesigned and benefits from different levels of contrasted finishes and elegant chamfers.
Inspired from the 1970s Navygraf II, the dial features raised hour markers in polished steel matching the hands and providing additional depth to the dial.
The bi-directional, 120-click rotating, 24-hours graduated bezel is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The GMT sapphire bezel is treated with Grade A Super-LumiNova. Thanks to its innovative design and meticulous construction, this bezel allows the wearer to easily differentiate the day and night, as evidenced by the numerals at 6 and 18 o’clock.
The second-generation GMT In-house Caliber YEMA3000 incorporates optimised components. It offers a Daily Rate of +/- 10 s/d and a power reserve of 42h.
The bi-directional, 120-click rotating, 24-hours graduated bezel is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, offering a high-quality shimmering glossy appearance.
Secured with screw-in crown and a solid stainless steel screw-down case-back, the watch offers a water-resistance of 300 meters.
The new Yema Navygraf Marine Nationale GMT watch is available with 2 strap choices: Steel or FKM VITON® rubber. Moreover, each timepiece will be delivered with an additional official MN strap in elastic.
The suggested retail price of the Yema Navygraf Marine Nationale GMT with a steel bracelet is $1349, and with a FKM VITON® rubber band is $1,379.
About Marine Nationale Parachute Strap
This iconic strap was originally handmade by French Marine Nationale combat divers in the 1970’s. The resourceful frogmen fashioned straps from used parachutes by recovering the elastic webbing to sew them back on and adapt them to their diver watches. For years, this type of strap has remained purely military; nowadays it’s a great alternative to NATO straps.
The unique single pass design offers the security of a regular NATO strap but wears slimmer on the wrist as only one layer of elastic goes under the watch head. Engraved with Marine Nationale’s official logo and made in brushed stainless steel, the buckle is slim but strong enough to stand up to wear and tear.
Crafted from military-grade elastic parachute webbing for extreme comfort and moisture regulation, these straps make for a quality, slimmer alternative to a NATO design.
The adjustable ladder buckle design enables to easily adjust the length of the strap individually, guaranteeing a perfect fit on wrists from 6” to 9” (15cm to 23cm).
