Swiss watch brand Tissot presents a new 40mm Quartz edition of the stylish, high performance Seastar 1000 collection of sports watches.
As with the existing 36mm and 45.5mm Seastar 1000 Quartz models, the new pieces are water-resistant up to 1,000 feet, equivalent to 30ATM or 300 metres. They also feature unidirectional rotating bezels for reliably timing underwater activity.
The new Tissot Seastar 1000 Quartz 40mm is available in three colour ways. The first one comes with a black lacquered dial and black mineral bezel with clear, white detailing.
The second model features a blue lacquered dial and blue mineral bezel with white detailing. The third iteration marries a black lacquered dial and black mineral bezel with golden detailing.
Low-light legibility is further enhanced by the application of Super-LumiNova® to the hands and hour markers.
Each Tissot Seastar 1000 Quartz 40mm watch houses the ETA F06.412 Swiss Made quartz movement with end-of-life indicator. All timepieces are secured with screw-in stainless steel case-backs.
The first two models have an integrated three-link stainless steel metal bracelet, which have a blend of brushed and polished finishes to create contrast and texture. The black and gold version comes on a matching black rubber strap.
The straps and bracelets can be interchanged using Tissot’s easy-to-use quick strap change system, giving the owner the opportunity to choose from a wide range of compatible straps and personalise their watch to suit mood or occasion. The change can be made by simply clipping out and clipping in.
The suggested retail price of the Tissot Seastar 1000 Quartz 40mm watch with steel bracelet (available in black and blue dial options) is $425. The dual-tone version with black dial and rubber strap costs $395.
