The emerging watch brand Quasar presents Starlight, an automatic watch inspired by the beauty of cosmic universe.
The most eye-catching feature of the Quasar Starlight Automatic Watch is its real Goldstone crystal dial that evokes the magnificent night sky, filled with sparkling stars.
The timepiece comes with a stainless steel case measuring 41mm in diameter and 11.5mm in thickness. The highly polished case surface perfectly harmonizes with the gleaming stainless steel bracelet. Moreover, the watch is water-resistant up to the depth of 100 meters.
Each Quasar Starlight Watch houses the tried and tested Seiko NH35 automatic movement made in Japan. In addition to the date display at 3 o’clock, it drives centrally placed hour, minute and seconds hands. Rated for a power reserve of 41 hours, this 21 jewel, 21,600 vph calibre features hand-winding and hacking seconds functions. Enhanced with Swiss Super Luminova, the hands and hour markers ensure the dial legibility even in the complete darkness.
The other notable features include a spherical crown at 3 o’clock for setting the date and time, and a domed sapphire crystal glass that protects the dial side. The case-back is screw-in type and made of stainless steel. The lug to lug length is 47.5mm and strap/lug width is 20mm.
Based on the colour of Goldstone crystal dial, the Starlight Automatic is available in two versions: Blue and Green. Each variant is limited to 250 pieces. The brand is also offering matching colour leather strap (green or midnight blue) with crocodile pattern and butterfly clasp.
On 1st May 2023, the UK-based brand launched an online crowd-funding project to pre-launch this timepiece. Ending on 31st May, this campaign is offering the opportunity to acquire the limited edition Starlight watch with a blue or green Goldstone crystal dial.
Pledges start at £250 (about $315), with estimated delivery in November 2023.
