The Red Star Bullhead Mechanical Chronograph is a new model from the Chinese watch manufacture Tianjin Seagull Watch Group Co. Ltd.
Seagull is known worldwide as a manufacturer of affordable mechanical timepieces. This state-owned company is also the world’s largest producer of mechanical watch movements. One of its most iconic creations is the Seagull 1963 Chinese Air Force Pilot Chronograph.
Bullhead is one of the most sought-after styles of chronograph watches. It refers to the unusual positioning of the crown and push-buttons evoking a bull’s head and horns.
The company is presently offering three distinct versions of its Bullhead chronograph: Yellow, Blue and Brown. These stainless steel watches come with tachymeter bezels. The time-setting crown is positioned 12H of the case. The chronograph pushers are placed at 11H and 1H.
The dial has two square-shaped counters: 30 minute register at 12H and small seconds at 6H. At 3 o’clock, the instantly recognizable red star logo is positioned.
The Red Star Bullhead Mechanical Chronograph houses the ST1901 mechanical manual-winding column-wheel chronograph movement & comes with a swan neck regulator.
Inspired by the 70s, this timepiece features a polished stainless steel case measuring 42mm x 45mm. Its double-domed mineral glass with an anti-reflective coating is inspired by the historic plexi-glass. The hour and minute hands, indexes and the dotted pointer of tachymeter scale are luminous.
