Swiss watch brand Mido expands its Ocean Star collection with its new Ocean Star 200C in a captivating all blue color theme.
The Ocean Star 200C features a 42.5 mm diameter stainless steel case. Its contrasting surfaces are enchanting, with a matt finish on the blue dial and on the blue rubber strap and satin-finished case sides. These finishes also highlight the polished radiance of the fluted bezel and blue high-tech ceramic ring.
The dial stands out with the emblematic ‘waves’ décor. It hosts partially skeletonised and diamond-cut hour and minute hands, and the sweep-seconds hand with its characteristic apple-shaped tip. The round indexes on the hour circle are punctuated by a triangle pointing downwards at 12 o’clock.
The unidirectional rotating diving bezel comes with 60-minute graduations. White Super-LumiNova® on the indexes, hands and reference dot at 12 o’clock on the bezel ensures that all these indications remain fully legible both in bright sunlight and complete darkness. Moreover, this ultra-functional dial has a day and date display at 3 o’clock. The sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective treatment on both sides for perfect visibility.
Equipped with the Calibre 80 (ETA C07.621 base) automatic movement, the Ocean Star 200C has a power reserve of up to 80 hours. Secured with a screwed steel case back and crown, this new Ocean Star is water-resistant up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m/660 ft). The case back features a polished starfish in relief.
The ocean-coloured rubber strap with diving extension matches the bright blue dial and high-tech ceramic ring on the rotating bezel. The suggested retail price of this diving watch is CHF 1,030.00.
The Mido Ocean Star 200C in stainless steel is also available in black, blue, green and grey dial versions with a stainless steel bracelet. All of them come with wave décor dials.
Presently, the brand is also offering an Ocean Star 200C titanium version with a black dial.
