Unveiled at the Watches and Wonders 2023 event, the new Rolex GMT-Master II models signal the return of 18 ct yellow gold to the prestigious professional watch family.
The new Yellow Rolesor (reference 126713GRNR-0001) and 18K yellow gold (reference 126718GRNR-0001) versions come with black lacquer dial, dual-tone Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert in black and grey, and Jubilee bracelet.
The 18K yellow-gold bidirectional bezel has knurled edges for ensuring excellent grip. It is topped with a bi-color Cerachrom bezel-insert featuring yellow gold PVD graduations and numerals. With the new grey and black ceramic bezel-insert, Rolex is introducing an entirely new colour combination to the GMT watch range.
The 40mm diameter case houses the calibre 3285, a self-winding GMT watch movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. It was introduced in 2018 with the new generation Rolex GMT-Master II.
Rated for a power reserve of 70 hours, this calibre incorporates several Rolex innovations that ensure durability, reliability, precision and endurance. It drives the date and an additional time zone in 24-hour format, as well as the hours, minutes and seconds. On the black lacquer dial, the name ‘GMT-Master II’ appears in a powdered yellow colour.
In the yellow Rolesor version (126713 GRNR), the middle case and case-back are made of Oystersteel. Contrasting this steel finish are the 18K yellow gold bezel and crown. The Jubilee bracelet of this model has polished centre links in yellow gold, satin-finished outer links in Oystersteel.
The second version of GMT-Master II (126718 GRNR) comes with 18K yellow gold middle-case, bezel, case-back, crown. Its 18K yellow gold Jubilee bracelet also includes patented ceramic inserts inside the links for augmenting its flexibility on the wrist and its longevity.
The AR-treated, scratch-proof sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens at 3 o’clock facilitates easy reading of the date. The other common features include the Oyster case design screw-down case-back with fine fluted edges, 100 metre (330 feet) waterproofness, Triplock winding crown with a triple waterproofness system and integral crown guard.
The Jubilee bracelet features Oysterlock clasp and the Easylink comfort extension link. The Oysterlock folding safety clasp prevents accidental opening while the Easylink comfort extension link allows the wearer to easily adjust the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm.
A certified Superlative Chronometer, the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II offers an exceptional timekeeping precision of −2 /+2 seconds per day.
