The Honey Green is a bespoke watch project undertook by Switzerland based Artisans De Geneve.
The client, a vintage watch enthusiast, entrusted the atelier to modify his yellow gold Daytona® while working with a particular green shade.
Base model was a Rolex® 116508. According to the customer’s wish, Artisans De Genève adorned the dial in a particular green shade with a slight blue touch. The sunray finish expresses all the complexity of this dial tone.
To enhance the vintage elegance, the counters are sandblasted with gold powder. The case is machined to match the shape of vintage watches, while the rotor is adorned with a Côtes de Genève finish and circular polishing, realized by hand.
The balance and automatic bridges are beveled by hand and embellished with a Côtes de Genève. Each finish brings depth and a play of lights to the modified movement.
The signature elements were designed to bear a refined look while working the perfect match of colors: green and gold. The Bakelite tachymeter bezel insert is a nod to the vintage sports chronographs.
The re-decorated Caliber 4130 with 21ct gold oscillating weight is visible through the sapphire crystal case-back.
To pair this unique watch, Artisans De Genève has also developed a green leather strap.
