Norfolk-based luxury watch brand Garrick presents S5, a new mechanical watch model with a 39mm case and a traditional engine-turned dial.
The S5 is the first 39mm watch powered by Garrick’s latest in-house manual-wound calibre UT-GO5. The engine-turned dial with an applied chapter ring is available in various colours.
The Garrick UT-GO5 calibre contains 20 jewels and boasts a textured rhodium finish. Positioned to the rear, the balance is secured with a three-spoke bridge, offering the view of the balance wheel oscillating backwards and forwards. The index-adjusted balance has a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). The addition of a beat adjuster allows the fine tuning of the anchor symmetry.
The hand-guilloché dial was made using a traditional rose engine lathe. The anchor-shaped hour, minute and seconds hands are inspired by the Maritime-world. Clients can choose various options of dial motifs and colours. The brand also offers the choice of heat-blued or polished steel hands.
The steel chapter ring is adorned with ‘satiné circulaire’, ‘sauté piqué and laser engraved Roman numerals which are inked by hand. The S5 is also available with an open-worked, heat-blued chapter ring.
The Garrick S5 watch is available in 904L stainless steel and 18K gold versions. Through the sapphire crystal case-back, the in-house hand-wound movement can be admired. The approximate price starts at £19,200.00 including VAT (UK).
