Moritz Grossmann HAMATIC Vintage Cream Limited Edition

To mark its fourteenth anniversary, Moritz Grossmann presents the limited edition HAMATIC Vintage Cream watch in white gold.

Fourteen years ago, Christine Hutter founded the Moritz Grossmann manufactory in Glashütte. On 11 November 2022, the company launched the HAMATIC Vintage Cream to celebrate its 14th anniversary.

Moritz Grossmann HAMATIC Vintage Cream Limited Edition

Inspired by the historic watches made by Moritz Grossmann, the commemorative watch comes with a cream-coloured dial with violet numerals and hands. The in-house manufactory calibre features Violet-annealed screws in harmony with the dial details.

This vintage-themed watch embodies good, traditional craftsmanship and the work of Moritz Grossmann himself, who was famous for his pocket watches during his lifetime. His style influenced the dial design of the anniversary watch with its classic white gold case, the nostalgic typography of the Roman hour numerals and the historic Moritz Grossmann logo from 1875.

Made from solid silver and then lacquered, the dial has an attractive cream tone. The fine poiré-shaped hands are inspired by the ones Moritz Grossmann once used for his pocket watches. These hands are hand-crafted in the manufacture and then annealed by hand to provide an expressive violet hue. The dial print in the same shade emphasises the effect of the hands.

The HAMATIC Vintage Cream anniversary watch is worn on a strap made from black alligator leather.

Moritz Grossmann HAMATIC Movement

This timepiece houses the Calibre 106.0 Hamatic self-winding movement. Introduced in 2019, HAMATIC is the first automatic movement/watch made by the newly founded Moritz Grossmann manufacture.

This movement incorporates the traditional automatic hammer mechanism from the 19th century and generates energy by means of a moving hammer rather than the rotor that is usual with an automatic movement. It is triggered by the arm movements of the wearer, gliding back and forth like a pendulum and thereby winding the movement.

Moritz Grossmann Calibre 106.0

This newly developed hammer winding mechanism is bidirectional and equipped with a highly efficient and reliable mechanism that has two click wheels. The construction also facilitates an intriguing view of the movement.

In addition to artistic cuts and surface finishes, the elaborate finishing on the highly refined manufactory calibre 106.0 also includes the screws annealed in a violet shade. They match the dial perfectly.

Moritz Grossmann HAMATIC Vintage Cream Limited Edition

Limited to 25 watches in white gold, the Moritz Grossmann HAMATIC Vintage Cream watch is available for the net MSRP of 45,700 EUR.
