Produced by Auffret Paris, an independent watch brand founded by the award winning watchmaker Theo Auffret, the Tourbillon Grand Sport is an evolution of the Classic tourbillon subscription series.
The new Grand Sport variant incorporates the same tourbillon movement made by Auffret Paris but in a completely different interpretation. The production of this new subscription series watch is limited to four pieces.
The Tourbillon Grand Sport watch places the hours and minutes in the center of the sapphire dial. A seconds hand hovers over the open-worked steel tourbillon bridge.
The watch also boasts a special power reserve indicator at 4 o’clock, which displays the torque available instead of running hours remaining.
This sporty complication watch comes in a 41mm diameter case in 316L steel. It also features a circular grained and polished bezel and a domed sapphire crystal. The middle case has a concave shape and profiled arc up to the start of the integrated bracelet.
It has a sapphire crystal dial for revealing the hand-crafted and finely finished movement. Equipped with a 60 second tourbillon, the manual-wound mechanical calibre is also visible through the exhibition case-back made of sapphire crystal.
The watch spotlights shades of gray for ensuring a monochrome effect. The blued hour and minute hands have been blued to allow easy reading and provide immediate contrast. All the decorations of each timepiece are carried out by hand.
