Oskar Pascal OP190 Chronograph Steel Edition

Swedish-Swiss watch brand Oskar Pascal presents the new OP190 Chronograph featuring a stainless steel case.

Stainless steel is the most conventional of watchmaking materials and offers beauty, strength and affordability. It scores 190 on the Vickers hardness scale, thereof the name OP190. Case and Pods are crafted in 316L steel.

Oskar Pascal OP190 Chronograph Steel Edition with black dial

The Oskar Pascal OP190 Chronograph Steel Edition comes in one finish with mirror polished case combined with a circular brushed bezel.

The watch strap of OP190 Chronograph incorporates a Pods modular technology, offering beautiful designed pods that blend in with your watch. Mechanical and modular, the Pods are easily added and removed using the patent pending link system and the OP Tool.

Presently, two Pods are available:

  • Compass Pod: The Francis Barker NATO Survival compass is designed with military specifications and can be swallowed if captured by the enemy, to then come out the natural way and used for an escape. Made entirely of brass, it weighs only 3 grams.
  • GMT Pod: Offering the second time zone function, this pod is powered by a Swiss Made movement. It comes with a matt white or black dial.

The Pod technology system is continually developed and new functions will be introduced with regular intervals. Currently a mechanical pedometer with a separate rotor is under development.

The watch case in stainless steel measures 41mm diameter. The Oskar Pascal OP190 Chronograph is available with a black or white dial, with three sub-dials and a date display (at 4.30H).

Hand painted in racing red, the large chronograph seconds hand is made of carbon fiber – 0.28 mm thin with a weight of 0.002g, still stronger than traditional hands made of metal. The carbon fiber is assembled through a custom made centre rod in German Silver, secured by a drop of UV-glue from the top.

Each Oskar Pascal OP190 Chronograph houses a custom, Swiss Made movement by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. Equipped with a tungsten oscillating weight, this 28-jewel self-winding caliber offers a power reserve of 45–50 hours.

The Oskar Pascal OP190 Chronograph Steel Edition can be purchased with or without the pods.
