Zurich-based watch brand Maurice de Mauriac has launched a special edition of its L3 series to coincide with the Pink October campaign.
The Pink October project supports activities against breast cancer. The ambassador and campaign model is long-time top German tennis player Andrea Petković, who ended her career at this year’s US Open and has long been committed to helping people with cancer.
Launched in 1985 by the American Cancer Society, the month of October is intended to focus worldwide on the prevention, research and treatment of breast cancer, the most common type of cancer in women. In Switzerland, too, Pink October has moved into the public consciousness thanks to the sustained commitment of the Cancer League.
With the Special Edition L3 Cherry Blossom, Maurice de Mauriac supports the commitment against breast cancer. Campaign model and ambassador is the long-time top German tennis player and new writer Andrea Petković, who herself has long been committed to helping people with cancer.
In order to provide the acting organizations with financial means for the fight against breast cancer, Maurice de Mauriac donates 50% of the sales proceeds to the Cancer League Zurich in October for projects on breast cancer.
The Maurice de Mauriac L3 Cherry Blossom watch was designed by Fabian Schwaerzler. This stainless steel chronograph is equipped with the Concepto Tricompax 99001 movement, custom made for Maurice de Mauriac.
From November onwards, the brand will continue to donate 20% of the proceeds from each L3 Cherry Blossom sold to the Krebsliga Zürich.
