Timex Celebrates 50 years of Quartz with the Q Timex Chronograph.

In the 1970s, the watchmaking industry witnessed a major revolution known as quartz technology that allowed for more accurate and more affordable watches.

In 1972, Timex embraced the change and started a Quartz revolution with their Q Timex. It was the first of many quartz watches produced by Timex Watches. This series offered one iconic design after another and leant into the future thoroughly establishing the brand at the forefront of quality, affordable timekeeping.

The year 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the Q Timex, the first quartz watch launched by Timex. To mark the end of such a historic year, the brand is introducing the Q Timex Chronograph. Inspired by motor-sports, this quartz timepiece celebrates the endurance and longevity of the legendary Q Timex.

The Q Timex Chronograph takes inspiration from the 1970s Q Timex, a motoring watch that accompanied drivers in some of Europe’s most iconic races.

This chronograph hosts an ultra-precise quartz movement and black tachymeter bezel, making it a true motor-sports timing instrument. The Q Timex Chronograph allows the wearer to measure elapsed time and average speed.

It is available with a cream or jet-black dial, and comes with contrasting sub-dials, a date feature, hand-applied dimensional indices and an updated Q Timex logo.

This retro-themed motorsports watch comes with a brushed and polished stainless-steel case and crown. The watch is available with a stainless-steel bracelet or stylish leather strap with quick release spring bars.
