On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Independence of Egypt, Venezianico reinterprets its most elegant timepiece, Redentore Riserva di Carica, with a refined composition of finishes including a desert-colored dial and Arabic numerals.
This limited edition watch evokes the magnetic charm of Egypt, its deserts and its millenary culture. Redentore Riserva di Carica – “100th Anniversary of the Independence of Egypt” celebrates the birth of modern Egypt in 1922, an event that concluded the era following the reign of the Pharaohs.
Limited to just 100 pieces, this new and very peculiar edition of Venezianico’s 5-hand watch recalls the iconography of some of the civilizations that established themselves in the area of the North African country, with whom Venice forged a tight bond over the centuries.
The figures of the indices are indeed Arabic numerals and lay over a desert-colored dial, embellished with three different finishes. Notably, the central portion is coated with a thin granular texture, which reminds of the typical material look of the sand. Further, the blue details refer to water, the other essential element that connects Venice to the civilizations that thrived on the banks of the Nile.
The most iconic monuments of Ancient Egypt, the sphinx and the pyramids, are finely etched on the the caseback, which seals the 40mm case with six screws, ensuring it is water resistant up to 100 meters. Venezianico signature stainless steel bracelet, the elegant Canova, perfectly complements the silhouette of this watch.
The movement at the heart of this Redentore Riserva di Carica is the Seiko NE57, belonging to the premium series of the Japanese manufacturer.
The packaging has been graphically customized too and includes, among other documents, the certificate of authenticity which shows the progressive serial number corresponding to the one displayed on the caseback.
