Swiss watch brand Aquastar presents a new successor to the extremely successful Deepstar Chronograph Re-Edition, which was launched in 2020.
This medium sized dive chronograph features a 39mmX47mm case in stainless steel. It is available in blue, grey and black dial versions.
The new Deepstar retains the function-first ethos and proportions of the revolutionary Deepstar Chronograph from 1962. It is smaller in size in comparison with the Aquastar 2020 Deepstar Chronograph and larger than the 2021 Deepstar II.
Water resistant to 200 meters, the Deepstar Chronograph 2022 boasts a bidirectional rotating timing bezel, bearing the brand’s unique “no decompression” table, used to time repeated dives. It also features the emblematic “cyclops” style mono-compax counter, originally devised by Aquastar founder and innovator Frederic Robert.
The new Deepstar houses an automatic column wheel chronograph movement made by Manufacture La Joux-Perret SA, La Chaux-de-Fonds. Beating at 4 Hz, this calibre provides a power reserve of 55 hours.
The Aquastar Deepstar Chronograph 2022 has a retail price of $3,590. Each dial version is limited to 300 pieces a year.
