The new Ocean Star Tribute Gradient watch from Mido comes with a striking red gradient dial and a strap with a unique retro look.
The new Mido Ocean Star Tribute Gradient revives the legendary spirit of the diving watches of the 1960s. Its striking new red-to-black gradient dial is paired with flat diamond-cut hour, minute and seconds hands. The bezel, indexes and hands are adorned with white Super-LumiNova®.
An aperture at 3 o’clock displays the day and date. In a nod to its diving roots, the timepiece has a unidirectional rotating bezel with a black aluminium ring and silver-coloured markings. An ultra-resistant box style sapphire crystal adds to its vintage look.
The fully polished case presents gleaming rounded forms. In reference to the modest dimensions of the watches of the sixties, it has a diameter of only 40.5 mm, making it perfect for both men and women.
On the case back, a polished starfish engraved in relief serves as a reminder of the Ocean Star’s historic expertise in water-resistance.
For the first time, Mido has fitted the Ocean Star with a strap inspired by an iconic texture from the past. Mido has chosen retro styling down to the last detail, with a criss-cross design in relief, notched edges, an embossed underside and perforations to let the skin breathe.
The Ocean Star Tribute Gradient is powered by the Caliber 80. This 25-jewel self-winding movement based on the Cal. ETA C07.621 offers an exceptional autonomy of up to 80 hours.
This recreational diver has a water-resistance up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m/660 ft).
