The NOVE Atlantean Automatic is a diving watch inspired by the mythical lost island of Atlantis. It features a massive stainless steel case measuring 50.5mm diameter and an eye-catching abalone shell dial.
Water resistant to 300 meters, this Swiss made automatic diving watch is equipped with an innovative bezel system. Firstly, it has an external bezel comprising of a fixed insert with large luminescent hour-markers and a rotatable outer-ring with fluting. The Atlantean also features an inner-rotating bezel that can be operated by the exterior fluted bezel ring.
The watch is fitted with a locking handle for enabling and disabling the in-house developed rotating mechanism that links both interior and exterior bezels. The user can adjust the inner bezel by releasing the locking and rotating the fluted bezel-ring. Once locked after aligning the inner diving bezel, this system also ensures optimum water resistance by sealing the gasket.
Featuring a 60 minute scale, the inner rotating bezel features large markers that appear floating over the dial. To reduce clutter, the abalone shell dial does not have any markings or numerals, except the date window at 3 o’clock. It hosts three centrally positioned hands for indicating the time. All the three hands as well as the markers on the inner and outer bezels are treated with Swiss Super-LumiNova CL3.
Swiss made, the NOVE Atlantean watch is equipped with the Ronda R150 automatic movement. Introduced in 2016, the Ronda R150 Caliber is a self-winding movement with the hour, minutes, seconds and date functions. Equipped with 25 jewels and beating at 28,800 vph, it delivers a power reserve of 40 hours.
Visible through the sapphire crystal case-back, the movement is driven by an oscillating weight engraved with NOVE. The screwed-down crown is positioned at 4 o’clock of the case. The watch is fitted with sapphire crystal glasses on both sides.
This timepiece is equipped with an integrated bracelet in steel. Its hexagonal-shaped middle links are brushed while the main links feature polished finish.
The NOVE Atlantean Automatic watch is available in two versions: 1001-02 and 1002-02. The first model features stainless steel case and bracelet where as the second one comes in a black PVD finish.
