Introduced in 2019, Legacy Machine Flying T is the first MB&F Machine dedicated to women.
The first MB&F Legacy Machine FlyingT watch was launched in 2019 in three editions, all in white gold and set with diamonds: black lacquer dial plate with case set with brilliant-cut diamonds; dial plate and case both fully set with brilliant-cut diamonds; and dial plate and case both fully set with baguette-cut diamonds. In 2020, Legacy Machine FlyingT Red Gold and Platinum versions with guilloche dial plates were launched.
This year, three new diamond-set editions with gemstone dial plates have been added to the FlyingT collection: 18K white gold case with lapis lazuli dial plate, 18K white gold with malachite dial plate and 18K yellow gold case with tiger eye dial plate.
The Legacy Machine FlyingT is a three-dimensional horological art piece for women. It features a round case with a steeply cambered bezel and slender, elongated lugs. A high, extravagantly convex dome of sapphire crystal rises from the bezel. The subtly curved dial plate of this watch is offered in various finishes: black lacquer, guilloche, gem-stone or diamond-set. The new models released in 2022 feature gemstone dials: lapis lazuli, malachite or tiger eye.
An asymmetric ventricular opening in the dial plate frames a flying tourbillon movement that beats at a serene rate of 2.5Hz (18,000vph). The tourbillon projects high above the rest of the engine, a kinetic, dynamic column that stops just short of the apex of the sapphire crystal dome. Affixed to the top of the upper tourbillon cage is a single large diamond that rotates simultaneously with the flying tourbillon.
At the 7 o’clock position is a dial of gemstone (lapis lazuli, malachite or tiger eye) that displays the hours and minutes with a pair of elegant serpentine hands. The dial is inclined at a 50° tilt so that the time can be read only by the wearer.
On the reverse, the automatic winding rotor takes the shape of a three-dimensional red gold sun with sculpted rays. The Legacy Machine FlyingT has a power reserve of four days (100 hours).
