Panerai has been appointed as the Official Sponsor of the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team for the 37th America’s Cup. The Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa is the latest timepiece to be born from the collaboration with the prestigious Italian sail boating squad.
The Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa features a solid 44mm steel case. Engineered to withstand the rigors of ocean racing, the watch spotlights a restrained design and neutral, marine-inspired color palette of blue, white and red.
It comes with characteristic components like patented crown protection device, rubberized crown and rotating unidirectional bezel.
The Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa houses Panerai caliber P.900, an automatic movement with a three-day power reserve. It has an improved date window at 3 o’clock and small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock.
The watch boasts a sun-brushed blue dial with white Super-LumiNova™ embedded dots, markers and hands. The team name (LUNA ROSSA) is visible just above the 6 o’ clock hour marker.
Water-resistant up to 30 bar (about 300 meters), the Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa (PAM01391) features a dark blue bi-material strap accented with the red and white Luna Rossa logo and a second in the same ocean-inspired color and composed of recycled rubber. Also included is a tool kit to allow interchangeability of the straps and a screwdriver for removing the buckle.
The Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa is a limited-edition of 1,500 pieces.
