Mido Multifort Skeleton Vertigo (reference M038.436.11.061.00)

Swiss watch brand Mido draws its inspiration for the Multifort collection from the architecture of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. The new Mido Multifort Skeleton Vertigo watch showcases the heart of its automatic movement by revealing its finely skeletonised plate. The timepiece shows a strong architectural influence with Geneva stripes adorning its unique anthracite-coloured face.

The skeletonised movement plate of the Multifort Skeleton Vertigo reveals its ultra-high-performance mechanism. For a cutting-edge look into its smallest details, its vertical Geneva stripes coated in an intense shade of anthracite are punctuated by faceted indexes adorned with white Super-LumiNova® and a central minute track in relief.

Three-sided hour and minute hands with white Super-LumiNova® and a flat diamond-cut seconds hand float over this display, which is both hypnotic and clear to read.

The Multifort Skeleton Vertigo has a 42 mm diameter case with a screwed case back and crown, and a strap with a folding clasp, both in satin-finished steel. The sapphire crystal features an anti-reflective treatment on both sides and helps accentuate the dynamic lines of the case, which is water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m/330 ft).

Echoing the dial’s decoration and opening onto the skeletonised movement plate, the transparent case back reveals the finely decorated automatic movement and its oscillating weight adorned with Geneva stripes and the Mido logo. The Caliber 80 defies time with a power reserve of up to 80 hours.

The movement is fitted with a Nivachron™ balance-spring, a material that noticeably reduces the effect of magnetic fields on the watch’s rate while offering excellent resistance to shocks and ageing.
