Endowed with an eye catching green and black theme, the new Rolex GMT-Master II 126720 VTNR watch comes with a number of surprising design features. Firstly, its crown and crown guard are on the left side of the watch case. The date aperture along with the Cyclops lens appears at 9 o’clock.

This new Rolex GMT watch in Oystersteel features a bi-colour monobloc Cerachrom bezel insert in green and black ceramic. Equipped with calibre 3285, the new the GMT-Master II displays the hours, minutes, seconds and date, as well as an additional time zone in 24-hour format.

The black lacquer dial features 18K white gold hands and indexes. The GMT hand is green lacquered. All the hands and hour-markers are filled with Chromalight, which offers a striking blue glow.

With traditional hour, minute and seconds hands, a triangle-tipped 24-hour hand, and a bidirectional rotatable bezel with a 24-hour graduated Cerachrom insert, the GMT-Master II can display the time in two time zones simultaneously: either the local time and the reference time, or the local time and that of an alternative time zone. The date is synchronized with the local time.

The moulded, recessed graduations and numerals of the GMT bezel are coated with platinum via PVD. The bezel can also be turned with ease thanks to its knurled edge, which offers excellent grip.

The new GMT-Master II 40 in Oystersteel is waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330 feet). The case back, edged with fine fluting, is hermetically screwed down. The Triplock winding crown is protected by an integral crown guard. The sapphire crystal is fitted with a Cyclops lens for easy reading of the date.

Rolex Calibre 3285

The beating heart of the new Rolex GMT-Master II 126720 watch incorporates the patented Chronergy escapement made of nickel-phosphorus. This antimagnetic escapement provides high energy efficiency with great dependability.

In addition, Calibre 3285 comes with an optimized blue Parachrom hairspring, manufactured by Rolex in a paramagnetic alloy. Equipped with a Rolex overcoil, this specially made hairspring ensures the calibre’s regularity in any position. The oscillator is fitted on the high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, increasing the movement’s shock resistance.

The power reserve of this in-house self-winding movement is approximately 70 hours. Like all Rolex watches, the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II is a Superlative Chronometer.

Bracelet

The Oyster bracelet on this new Rolex GMT-Master II 126720 version (reference 126720 VTNR 0001) comes with the in-house designed and patented Oysterlock folding safety clasp, which prevents accidental opening.

The Easylink comfort extension link allows the wearer to easily adjust the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm. Rolex is also offering a variant of this model with a jubilee bracelet (reference 126720 VTNR 0002).
