UNIMATIC presents U1S-MP and U1S-MPN, new limited edition dive watches with the slim case of the U1-S series and powered by the Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement.
A continuation of the Swiss Series launched on February 2022, the two watches retain their S-M acronym standing for ‘Slim’ and ‘Minimal,’ alongside the typical N of ‘Nero’ (black in Italian) for the DLC coated watch — yet both see the addition of a ‘P’ standing for Professional Diver.
Both U1S-MP and U1S-MPN feature a 60-minute unidirectional rotating bezel, which enables divers to monitor their dive and decompression times.
The distinctive characteristic of the bezel is its black on black engraving of the minutes. This ingenious design solution allows the wearer to have a versatile minimalist watch which only at a more attentive glance reveals the measuring typical of a dive watch bezel. UNIMATIC unveils again surprising ways to harmoniously combine utility and style.
Atop the dial are the bright white hands, the UNIMATIC logo, the ‘Made in Italy’ signage and the listing of the 300m/1000ft water resistance to which all UNIMATIC watches are tested.
UNIMATIC also reintroduces for U1S-M P and U1S-MPN the date on the dial at 6 o’clock. All the aforementioned elements stand in stark contrast to the matte black dial to grant optimal legibility, while the hour markers feature Super-LumiNova® C1 white pigments, which preserve visibility in dark environments, such as underwater.
The watch case comes in stainless steel brushed finish for the U1S-MP and in black DLC coating for the U1S-MPN. While it inherits the core features of the Modello Uno, such as the drilled lugs, it is 10% slimmer — taking to the next level the sleek, minimalist aesthetic that is a trademark of UNIMATIC.
The two watches come with a black two-piece TPU strap and with an extra black NATO seatbelt strap.
The U1S-MP and U1S-MPN are released in a limited edition of respectively 500 pieces and 400 pieces, which will never be reproduced again once sold out.
Each watch that belongs to these series has its number of production engraved on the back of the case.
