In 2021, to mark the 140th anniversary of Seiko, the Japanese watchmaker released a limited edition Grand Seiko GMT Quartz watch.

This new model has a reference number of SBGN023 and belongs to the Grand Seiko Sport Collection. Dressed in a 40mm diameter stainless steel case, it boasts a grey sunray pattern dial with yellow an GMT hand and the date display (at 4H).

This Quartz GMT watch offers the high precision, durability and ease of use that are the very hallmarks of Grand Seiko. The muscular steel case is topped with a ceramic bezel.

The GMT hand is illuminated by a Lumibrite that emits a different color than that of the hour and minute hands and indexes, ensuring high legibility even in the dark. The twin pulse quartz caliber 9F86 delivers the high torque needed to keep the long, wide hands moving precisely and offers the wearer the convenience of being able to change the time zone without stopping the seconds hand.

Equipped with a screw-down crown at 4H, the watch is water resistant to 200 meters. Grand Seiko SBGN023 is limited to 2,021 pieces. In commemoration of 140 years of horological excellence, the back of the watch carries the GS lion emblem in 18K yellow gold.
