The young Italian watch brand Venezianico has launched Redentore Riserva di Carica, an exceptional automatic wristwatch that fuses Venetian aesthetic essence with horological art craft.
Venice has been known worldwide for its rich culture and majestic historical buildings. The brand took inspiration from the famous Basilica del Redentore (Basilica of the Redeemer) to design the Redentore Riserva di Carica watch. This watch is the first release of the new generation of the Redentore line, the company’s flagship collection known for its charming, sophisticated and minimalistic composition.
Designed by Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, Basilica of the Redeemer is a neoclassical marvel that combines classic Roman and Greek architectural styles. Just like this prominent landmark, the Redentore Collection perfectly harmonizes classicism and modernity.
The Redentore Riserva di Carica model comes with a 40mm diameter case made of stainless steel. This automatic watch is available in five color ways: Anthracite, Black, Pearl Grey, Teal Blue and Emerald Green.
The dial is eye-catching and easily readable. The dauphine-shaped hour and minute hands perfectly harmonize with the sunray-finished dial of this classic dress watch. Around the main-dial are applied indices, the sand-blasted dial-ring for power reserve display and the minute track. The watch employs a central-seconds hand as a gentle reminder of the continuous flow of time.
A distinct characteristic of the Redentore Riserva di Carica watch is its power reserve display, one of the most useful and appreciated mechanical complications in horology. A centrally placed, hammer-shaped hand accurately tracks a scale printed on the sand-blasted dial-ring and indicates the autonomy of the self-winding movement.
For displaying the date, the timepiece features a sub-dial at 6 o’clock. It boasts a beautiful diamond-cut snail pattern and a hammer-head hand.
Powering this elegant automatic wristwatch watch is the Seiko NE57 movement. This 29-jewel premium-grade self-winding caliber is endowed with features like manual winding option, stop-second device and quick date correction. Once fully wound, it provides an autonomy of 41 hours.
This movement has been manufactured by TMI (Time Module) company of SEIKO Holdings Group, Japan. Beating at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour, the Cal. NE57 efficiently operates five hands for displaying hour, minutes, centre seconds, date and power reserve. All the indications are quickly readable thanks to distinct shapes of the hands, color theme and the well-ordered dial lay out.
Fusing minimalism and neoclassic designs, the watch case is available in full steel or dual-toned finish. The brand is presently offering Black, Pearl Grey and Teal Blue dial options with stainless steel Redentore Riserva di Carica models. With dual-tone versions, two dial choices are available: Anthracite and Emerald Green.
Upper surfaces of the case are polished, and its sides are finely brushed. To pay homage to the source of inspiration, the case-back of the watch features a graceful engraving of the Basilica del Redentore.
All dial styles are attractive and offer some minute yet distinguishable play of various colors to harmonize the design. Depending upon the version, colors of hands, indexes, logo and texts vary. For example, the dual tone versions feature golden hands (hour, minute and seconds), indexes and logo for a perfect color combination with that of the bezel and crown. The date and power reserve hands are highlighted with a gold-toned hammer-head pointer, while the remaining parts of the two hands are white.
Similarly, in stainless steel versions the hands, logo and indices maintain the same tint of the case. When you observe the dial closely, you will stumble on a contrasting color on first digit of the date sub-dial, on the tip of the power reserve indicator and on the “RISERVA DI CARICA” inscription. The teal blue dial uses orange shade to highlight these details. Black and Pearl Grey dials respectively use blue and red colors.
The box-shape sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating offers unhindered view of the indications and luxurious finishing of the case. Each version is provided with a beautiful and matching-color Italian leather strap.
In spite of its meticulous finishing and high quality standards, the Redentore Riserva di Carica watch remains affordable. It has a retail price of EUR 565.00 (including taxes).
