Manila based watch brand Makina presents its latest model, Gabriel_I. This is a contemporary dress watch features a 40mm diameter steel case and a dependable Swiss self-winding movement.
Its case boasts a distinctive octagonal silhouette. It is just 11.9mm thick. The top and bottom surfaces are completely flat in striking contrast with the rounded off sides with wire lugs.
Gabriel_I boasts an elegant two-tone dial, representing the brand’s modern interpretation of the classic sector dial design.
The watch features white inner-dial, silvered outer-dial and black markings. The hour and minute hands are centrally positioned. A subsidiary dial is placed at 6 o’clock for accommodating the small-seconds hand. This is the first Makina model with a small seconds function. This circular guilloche decorated sub-dial does not feature any markers/indices to ensure optimum simplicity.
Gem-cut and made of brass, all the three hands are blued, providing a striking contrast to the dual-toned dial. The domed sapphire crystal glass with AR coating offers unobstructed view of the eye-catching dial features.
Beating inside this timepiece is the Sellita SW 260-1 Swiss automatic movement. Popularly known for its reliability and precision, this calibre provides a power reserve of 38 hours.
The case back is provided with a blue tinted glass offering the view of self-winding movement. The watch has a water resistance of 100 meters. It comes fitted on a black genuine crocodile leather strap.
Interested customers can preorder the Makina Gabriel_I watch for US $600, which is at least USD 100 less than the launch price. The brand is offering free international shipping and a 24-month warranty.
