The Grand Seiko reference SBGC247 marks the 15th anniversary of the first Spring Drive Chronograph. This new limited edition timepiece features a beautiful texture dial inspired by the ice capped mountains near the Shinshu Watch Studio.
Made of high intensity titanium case, the watch houses the automatically driven Spring Drive Chronograph GMT Caliber 9R96 with a power reserve of 72 hours. It offers exceptional legibility even in complete darkness, thanks to the Lumibrite on the bezel, indexes and hour, minute and GMT hands. Its oscillating weight is adorned with the 18K gold Grand Seiko lion emblem.
This chronograph measures elapsed time up to 12 hours with an accuracy of ±0.5 seconds per day. Thanks to the regulation system that is unique to Spring Drive, its accuracy remains at this high level even when the power reserve is low.
Limited edition of 700 pieces, the new Spring Drive Chronograph GMT will be available at the Grand Seiko Boutiques and selected retailers worldwide in February 2022.
