Luxury e-retailer Sincerewatch.com has collaborated with independent Italian watchmaker Unimatic to create two limited-edition Modello Uno Tropicale watches.
The watch is based on Unimatic’s Modello Uno U1, which was the brand’s first timepiece when it launched in 2015. With a diameter of 40mm, the Modello Uno U1 is a minimalist diving timepiece that has all the hallmarks of a classic tool watch. It is equipped with a self-winding Seiko NH35 movement. The movement has a 41-hour power reserve and oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 BPH.
Aesthetically, the Modello Uno Tropicale was inspired by the lush tropical rainforests of the Asia-Pacific region, where Sincerewatch.com is based.
The watch is characterized by its use of vivid green hues, and has a gradient sunray-finished dial that is bright emerald green at the centre of the dial and fades to black on the outer edge. The signature triangular, rectangular, and circular hour markers and hands are rendered in cream-toned SuperLumiNova for maximum legibility.
The watch has a stainless steel unidirectional rotating bezel, with a bezel insert that is coloured a deep forest green, with no markings except for a luminous dot at 12 o’clock. It has a round case and crown guards to protect the crown from hard knocks. The watch also has a screw-down crown and closed steel caseback. It is rated water resistant to 300m.
The Modello Uno Tropicale is available in two different variants, U1-SW1 and U1-SWN1, each of which are created in a limited edition run of 88 pieces worldwide. The U1-SW1 is crafted from stainless steel with a brushed finish, while the U1-SWN1 is crafted from stainless steel with a black DLC coating. Both versions come paired with a black calf leather strap with additional green detailing.
Each watch is individually numbered and engraved. Both watches are presented in the signature Unimatic-branded Tough Case, and complemented with a heavy-duty back nylon NATO strap for more casual styling.
The Modello Uno Tropicale U1-SW1 and U1-SWN1 are priced at SGD 1325 and SGD 1500 (including taxes) respectively. This limited edition collection is available for purchase exclusively online at Sincerewatch.com and Unimatic, and comes with complementary worldwide delivery.
