Italian watch brand LOCMAN expands its MONTECRISTO collection by adding a new skeleton timepiece.
LOCMAN introduced the Montecristo Classic watch in 2009. With its strong and identifiable design, this model immediately became popular not only for the Italian watchmaker but also for the collective imagination in terms of sports watches.
In 2019 LOCMAN created a Montecristo Skeleton, made with a steel and titanium case for the grittier version, and with rose gold finishing for the more precious and refined one. Today, the Montecristo Skeleton is further enriched with unmistakable details and presents its most elegant version with the model in PVD Total Black and Total Blue.
The sophisticated and daring design remains unchanged: a patented 42 mm diameter case with a titanium back, surmounted by a sapphire crystal and characterised by triple-bar horns. This self-winding mechanical watch is equipped with a visible Swiss Made movement, created in collaboration with the Italian School of Watchmaking and the Swiss atelier Depa Swiss*.
The steel case and the three horns, a distinctive feature of the Montecristo model, are coated with an intense black and brilliant blue PDV treatment, creating an even more sophisticated version maintaining the original sporty soul. The new graphics with Arabic numerals echo the modern appeal of the PVD coating.
Delivering a power reserve of 60- to 72 hours, the movement features a customised LOCMAN tungsten oscillating weight. The screw-down crown, with triple internal o-ring seal, ensures water resistance up to 10 atmospheres.
The silicone strap, in colours matching the case Total Black and Total Blue, completes the linearity of the watch.
*Depa Swiss is movement manufacturer under DEPA LUXURY DISTRIBUTION GmbH, Switzerland. It makes mechanical calibres under the iconic LANDERON SWISS label.
