German watch brand Circula launches the second generation of its popular AquaSport skin-diver watch. The brand has also announced a new limited edition AquaSport II with a genuine meteorite dial.
The best-selling Circula AquaSport diving watch was first presented in December 2020. In the 2nd generation, the successful model is enjoying several updates: among other things, the bezel and dial opening are extended by 1mm to 40mm and 31.5mm, while the length remains the same.
In addition to stylistic adjustments in terms of colors and luminous material, the design of the rotating bezel has also been enhanced. A limited edition of 99 pieces with a meteorite dial is available. The dial is made entirely from real metal meteorite from space.
Each dial has thus an individual crystal structure. The water resistance of 200 meters, screw-down crown and the sapphire crystal for a scratch-free view of the multi-layered dial remain unchanged.
In the AquaSport II the high-quality mechanical movements with automatic winding from Sellita Switzerland are used. The Sellita SW200-1 is a modern high-beat movement with 28,800 vibrations, 26 jewels and a 38-hour power reserve.
The AquaSport combines the design of the 1970s skin-divers with new colors that set accents. The dials are available in three variants. As a special extra, the bezel insert is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The night readability is guaranteed by high quality Swiss Super-LumiNova® C3 X1 and BGW9.
The watch comes either on a solid stainless-steel bracelet in a beads-of-rice design, or on a tropical rubber strap, which were popular on the icons of the 1970s. Leather straps are available optionally. All straps come with a quick release exchange system and can thus be swapped in seconds.
The AquaSport II can be ordered from the online shop of the brand, starting at EUR 599 (incl. VAT)/ USD ~599 (excl. VAT), including worldwide free shipping. With an additional Beads of Rice steel bracelet it costs EUR 100 (incl. VAT) / USD ~100 (excl. VAT) more. The new Meteorite LE starts at EUR 899 (incl. VAT) / USD ~899 (excl.
