MeisterSinger Stratoscope

Introduced in May 2021, Stratoscope is the second MeisterSinger wristwatch with a moon phase display. Measuring 43mm diameter, its powerful, masculine case in stainless steel frames the unusually large moon phase display. The photorealistic image of the earth’s natural satellite corresponds to the astronomical precision with which the Stratoscope represents the moon’s various phases.

MeisterSinger Stratoscope moonphase watch

Launched in 2018, Lunascope is the brand’s first moonphase watch. It features a 40mm stainless steel case and houses a customized ETA 2836 self-winding movement equipped with a specially developed moon-phase module.

The moon takes 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 2.9 seconds to circumnavigate the earth. Most watches round this figure down to 29.5 days via the movement, which means they deviate by eight hours per year and need adjusting by one complete day every third year. However, the movement of the Stratoscope is far more accurate. Its moon phase indicator only requires a slight adjustment after 122 years.

MeisterSinger Stratoscope

Beneath the sapphire crystal glass, the MeisterSinger Stratoscope watch features a bi-color dial. In its lower third, the jet black dial merges into a shimmering spectacle of light in varying shades of blue, reminiscent of the aurora borealis visible in the far North. And above this spectacle the luminescent moon circles the earth.

The interplay of light by the luminous hour markers and the needle-shaped hour hand provide a mystic appearance. The characteristic double-digit numerals are arranged in a circle from 01 to 12 around the dial, reinforcing the impression of harmony and balance. Despite all this attention to detail, the watch has a crisp, uncluttered appearance. It also has a date window at 6 o’ clock.

MeisterSinger Stratoscope

The MeisterSinger Stratoscope watch houses an exclusive movement built around the Swiss made Sellita SW 220 Automatic calibre. Rated for a power reserve of 38 hours, this self-winding movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case-back.
