Austin, Texas based watch brand Dufrane presents Deep Eddy, a stylish diving timepiece with 200 meters water resistance. Equipped with the Swiss Sellita SW200-1 self-winding movement, this stainless steel wristwatch is available in two dial versions: Lagoon and Dune.
This robust yet elegant tool watch takes its name from Deep Eddy pool, the oldest swimming pool in Texas. The ‘Lagoon’ dial is inspired by the aquamarine color of the pool where as the ‘Dune’ dial reminds us the earthy brown grass that surround the area.
The Dufrane Deep Eddy Automatic watch features a marine grade (316L) stainless steel case measuring 42mm diameter, 12mm thickness (14.4mm with glass), 22mm lug width and 47.6mm lug to lug length. At 3H, the watch features a 7mm screw-down crown, secured with 2 gaskets. The watch case is satin-brush finished, with polished chamfering on the bezel, case and lugs.
The watch comes with a double domed sapphire crystal glass with two layers of anti-reflective coating. The screw-down case back is made of 316L stainless steel case. Its unidirectional bezel is topped with an anodized aluminium bezel insert with C3 Lume markers.
Its dial features large, applied hour-marker indices recessed into angled chapter ring and embedded with Swiss SuperLumiNova C3. The 12H hour-marker is triangle shaped. The markers representing 3, 6 and 9 are rectangular and the remaining hour markers are round-shaped. The hour and minute hands are diamond-cut polished steel and features Swiss SuperLumiNova C3. The diamond-cut orange seconds hand stands out with a reverse lollipop style.
The Swiss Sellita SW200-1 Élaboré grade automatic movement has a power reserve of 38 hours. It is endowed with excellent shock proof features like Incabloc. Beating at 28’800 vph, this movement has hacking seconds function for precise time setting. The Dufrane Deep Eddy Automatic watch features a date display at 3H. However, the customer has the choice of ordering a non-date version too.
The watch comes with a comfortable silicone strap. The Deep Eddy is priced at $499 with a custom silicone strap, or $599 inclusive of optional SEL bracelet and leather strap. Presently, it is available for pre-order with estimated delivery in September this year.
All Dufrane Deep Eddy Automatic dive watches will be assembled and tested in Austin, Texas.
