Weiss Standard Issue Field is the flagship collection from the Los Angeles based independent watch brand founded by by Cameron Weiss, an American watchmaker with WOSTEP certification.

Weiss Watch Company was established in 2013. Before setting up his own brand, Weiss had worked with prestigious manufactures like Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin. The brand makes mechanical wristwatches equipped with automatic or manual-winding movements. These exceptional creations are available within the retail price range of US$ 1,000 to US$ 3,000.

Weiss Standard Issue Field Hand-wound

Manually wound, Weiss Standard Issue Field Watches are available in two case sizes: 38mm and 42mm.

The Weiss Standard Issue Field 38mm watch in stainless steel case houses the Caliber 1005 mechanical movement by Weiss Watch Company. This hand-finished and assembled movement (base calibre ETA 7001) provides a power reserve up to 42 hours. It has a beating frequency of 21,600 vph. The case has a thickness of 9.2mm including the sapphire crystal glass.

The 42mm hand-wound model houses the Caliber 1001 mechanical movement (6497 base), which beats at 18,000 vph and provides up to 46 hours of power reserve. This model comes with a stainless steel case with 12.9mm thickness including the sapphire crystal glass. The front glass is bevelled, domed and treated with anti-reflective coating on the inside surface.

Both Standard Issue models feature bevelled sapphire crystal case-backs for admiring the views of mechanical movement. These timepieces are available in four dial colour choices: Black, Blue, Latte and White. In these highly legible dials, both hands and hour-markers are embedded with Super-Luminova BGW9.

The customer can choose various types of straps made of leather of canvas. You can also opt for custom engraving on the caseback for an additional fee. The retail price range of Weiss Standard Issue Field watches starts at US$ 1,450.

Other Models

Weiss Watch Company also offers two more watch models: the 38mm Automatic Version and the Limited Edition Manual-Wind American Field Issue 42mm in Titanium. The 38mm automatic model has retail price of US$ 1,650.

The limited edition watch with grade-5 titanium houses a mechanical hand-wound movement made of 7075 Aluminum alloy, which is normally used for aircraft wings and fuselages. This timepiece is a limited series of 100 pieces. Its retail price starts at US $ 2,800.

All these timepieces are water resistant up to 100 meters.
