To celebrate the upcoming Summer Olympic Games event, Swiss watch brand OMEGA has created the special edition Seamaster Diver 300m Tokyo 2020 Co-Axial Master Chronometer 42mm model.
Originally due to take place from 24 July to 9 August last year, the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, IOC has announced the revised schedule of this great sporting event. It is now scheduled to be held from 23 July to 8 August 2021. The name of the event will remain Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
14 April 2021 marked 100 days until the iconic sporting event begins in Japan. Omega, the Official Timekeeper of the games, has created a very special timepiece in tribute to the occasion.
Tokyo 2020 will mark the 29th time in history that OMEGA has fulfilled its role as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932. The Seamaster Diver 300M Tokyo 2020 delivers a unique colour scheme inspired by the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games emblem, along with the very best in watchmaking technology.
The 42 mm case is crafted in stainless steel and is mounted with a blue ceramic bezel ring, which is filled with a white enamel diving scale. Stainless steel is also used for the polished-brushed bracelet that is seamlessly integrated with the case.
To complement the blue, there is a polished white ceramic dial with extra depth provided by the laser-engraved waves. Features include a date window at 6 o’clock and the famous Seamaster name highlighted in red. Blued hands and indexes complete the dial design and are filled with white Super-LumiNova.
The sapphire crystal caseback marks this special moment in time thanks to its transferred Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games emblem, while on the inside, you’ll see the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 – which has been officially certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
This unique timepiece will be delivered inside a special Olympic Games presentation box, along with a Master Chronometer card and a full 5-year warranty.
