German watch manufacturer NOMOS Glashütte presents a new midnight blue version of its Tangente neomatik 41 Update model.
The new NOMOS Tangente watch blends the classic aesthetics with sportier and more striking features. Its innovative mechanical movement with the patented date mechanism can be set both forward and backward; the date display, also patented, has been given a fluorescent green addition.
This new model features an elegant and slender case made of stainless steel. It measures 41mm across, and only 7.8 mm in height. The watch has a water resistance of 5 atm.
The incredibly innovative NOMOS in-house caliber DUW 6101 with a quick-set date function is also known as neomatik caliber with date. This exceptionally slender self-winding movement measures a 35.2-millimeter diameter and a mere 3.6 mm in height.
The NOMOS DUW 6101 calibre was completely reconstructed in-house. It features the date display at the edge of the dial. This is unique for timepieces with a diameter above 40mm and allows for a highly individual and harmonious watch aesthetic.
The date can be set both forward and backward quickly and easily, with only a few turns of the crown needed for any adjustment. Despite the limited movement height, this was made possible by a specially shaped gear wheel, which connects with the date disk.
The precision of the movement is ensured by the NOMOS swing system, the proprietary escapement denoted by the tempered blue balance spring.
Unique to DUW 6101: The gold-plated lettering on the rotor is embossed; and the words “reguliert in 6 Lagen” (adjusted in 6 positions) are engraved in two colors on the bottom plate. This NOMOS caliber is lavishly polished and decorated
