In celebration of love, unity, and timelessness, Ralph Lauren presents the Ralph & Ricky Bear Watch, inspired by the designer’s long time relationship with his wife and muse Ricky.
The charming new timepiece showcases two bears holding hands in signature looks modeled after a 1996 photograph of the couple walking together at their estate in Bedford, New York.
The Ralph & Ricky Bear Watch brings together Mr. Lauren’s admiration for the finest watchmaking with a beloved icon from the World of Ralph Lauren. Shown here, Ralph & Ricky Bear wear a double-breasted blazer and flag sweater respectively—styles derived from the designer’s personal way of dressing and his classic designs.
The Polo Bear debuted in 1991 as 200 limited-edition bears produced by Steiff, the famed German toy manufacturer, and dressed in miniaturized Polo Ralph Lauren apparel. In the years since, the world’s best-dressed bear has appeared as embroidery, prints, and patches on a variety of items, from neckties to sweater.
Powering the automatic watch, the Swiss-made caliber RL200 movement runs at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, featuring 26 jewels with an approximate 38-hour power reserve.
The movement is decorated with vertical Côtes de Genève stripes and circular graining, known as perlage—fine details made visible by the exhibition case back.
The 42mm round case is available in polished stainless steel or rose gold, to be worn with interchangeable straps in glossy red or navy alligator leather.
