Junghans max bill Kleine Automatic 34mm

A puristic dial, a uniquely developed typography and distinct contouring: The mechanical watches designed by Max Bill for Uhrenfabrik Junghans in 1961 are still regarded as ultimate design icons to this day. 60 years later, and they are still as current as ever.

With a case diameter of 34 millimetres, the new max bill Kleine Automatic exemplifies precisely the size of the original from 1961. Moreover, the sapphire crystal, date display on a minimalistic dial and a self-winding movement all contribute toward an extremely user-friendly construction.

Initially, Max Bill conceived his watch as a hand-winding model. Then in later models, a self-winding movement converted energy from the motion of the wearer into a reliable time display. Form thus emanates from the function, and energy from the motion.
