Hong Kong based watch brand OLTO-8 has launched Infinity II, a unique mechanical watch for those who seek individuality and bold style. The motorsport inspired Infinity II watch boasts superb craftsmanship, precise timekeeping and iconic design.
OLTO-8 adopts an exclusive case with the word “0” from the octagonal multi-cut corner variant. INFINITY II’s dial design is inspired by the speedometer. The semicircular way of reading the time makes it different from ordinary watches. The minute hand design is inspired by the car steering wheel. The open-worked dial allows the views of the watch’s movement.
Made of 316L stainless steel, the octagonal case has 44 faces, and each cut corner must be polished separately with a special jig. This means that there are 44 times of single polishing process.
For the surface treatment of the green and white case, the brand employed Cerakote, a polymer ceramic composite coating. The unique formula used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances many physical properties, including wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength and hardness.
The multi-layer combination dial is a major feature of INFINITY II. The scale of the dial uses Swiss luminous. It can be read clearly even at night. The upper part shows the hours, the outer part shows the minutes, and the lower part shows the seconds.
The watch strap is made of fluoro-rubber, which is a kind of special material for high-end watches. It has rich colors, excellent anti-wear and waterproof characteristics, and is more convenient and comfortable to fit the curve of the wrist.
OLTO-8 launched a Kickstarter crowd funding campaign on 16 March 2021 to raise funds for the initial mass production of the INFINITY II Automatic Watch. This campaign ends of 20 April 2021. During this period, customers can available special Kickstarter price range, with pledged starting at US$ 299/-. The estimated delivery is in May 2021.
