Independent American watch brand Tockr launches new C-47 “Dark Spirit” skeleton watch series, limited to just 10 pieces.
Aviation runs in the Ivey family’s veins, a theme that also influences every Tockr watch design. Tockr Founder Austin Ivey became a third-generation pilot and founded the Tockr brand to honor the legacy of his grandfather, a World War II era C-47 combat pilot, and the C-47 aircraft radial engine became the design blueprint for the brand’s inaugural watch collection. Years on, Tockr continues to draw on these experiences and influences to evolve its collections. The Dark Spirit offers a peek under the C-47’s hood with a skeletonized movement and updated stealth-black detailing.
The Dark Spirit has 42mm diameter case in black PVD coated stainless-steel. Each case is engraved with a serial number from 1 to 10/10. Its skeletonized, Swiss-made automatic movement can be admired through an anti-glare sapphire crystal on both the dial side and case back. The watch is water resistant to 30 meters (3 ATM).
The dial side of the timepiece offers a clear reading of the hours, minutes, and central seconds, while the reverse presents another view of the automatic winding caliber STP 6-15 H6 and custom skeletonized rotor. The 5N rose gold coating of the automatic movement and ring offer sleek contrast to the Dark Spirit’s black case and black grid. The movement has a power reserve of 44 hours.
Dark Spirit comes delivered with two strap options, including a black calfskin strap and an extra black silicon band. Both straps feature a black PVD coated stainless steel 316L pin buckle engraved with the Tockr logo.
The C-47 Skeleton Dark Spirit will retail for $2,700 USD, but the 10-piece edition is available for a special pre-order price of $1,899 for a limited time at Tockr.com.
