The new Ocean Star GMT from Mido boasts orange details, green Super-Luminova® and satin-brushed steel bracelet. This new model has a 44mm diameter satin-finished and polished stainless steel case topped with a rotating bezel in glossy black high-tech ceramic.
The Caliber 80 automatic movement delivers up to 80 hours of power reserve. The perfectly legible Ocean Star GMT allows the wearer to read two time zones very simply, their hands differentiated according to their function.
The diamond-cut hands indicate the hours and minutes, while an additional orange-varnished hand indicates the time in the second time zone. It points towards the flange of the dial, marked with the 24 hours. On each hand and index, green Super-Luminova® guides explorers even in the dark. Another very practical feature is the date that appears in an aperture at 3 o’clock.
The ring of its unidirectional rotating bezel is made of ceramic, which is incredibly hard and strong. Its fluting makes it easier to operate, tracking elapsed time very easily and as often as necessary. The case is fashioned from robust stainless steel and presents subtly contrasting polished and satin-finished surfaces.
The screwed case back and crown further enhance the Ocean Star GMT’s resistance to the elements. Water-resistant up to 20 bar and incorporating a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides, this sporty model is perfect for explorers in all situations. On the case back, Mido has engraved the time zones.
The Ocean Star GMT can be worn every day or over a diving suit, thanks to a diving extension. The finishes of its links play on contrasts, with satin-brushed side-links and polished centre links.
The Ocean Star GMT is also available with a blue fabric strap and matching ceramic bezel, as well as a two-tone version in steel and rose gold-coloured PVD.
