Italian watch brand Unimatic has released a new limited edition Uno watch collection in partnership with raincoat manufacture Norwegian Rain, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2020.
The two unique collaboration references Uno Ref. U1-NR and U1-NRN feature a minimal black bezel and a first of its kind double layer dial composed of an individually oxidised solid copper gradating to one of a kind green hue with cutout markers showing through a brushed copper base. The dial is sealed with proprietary technique to preserve the unique process in time. The skeleton brushed copper ladder hands with the reverse lollipop second hand match the cutout markers on the dial.
The 10 year-anniversary of the Norwegian Rain is commemorated with X cutout marker on the 10th hour and with unique engraving on the caseback.
The brushed finish stainless steel Modello Uno U1-NRN comes on a Unimatic brushed finish stainless steel bracelet in a limited edition of 39 pieces, while the Modello Uno U1- NR, the DLC finish version, come on a black heavy-duty Unimatic nylon nato strap with black DLC brushed hardware signed UNIMATIC, in edition of 54 pieces. Both references come inside a uniquely branded UNIMATIC x Norwegian Rain tough case.
Unimatic x Norwegian Rain U1-NR and U1-NRN are available from 22 February 2021, sold exclusively online on Unimatic, Norwegian Rain, Hodinkee and in the flagship stores of Norwegian Rain in Paris, Tokyo (March 1st), Oslo and Bergen. Each with a retail price of 812€ ex vat.
