Celebrating the 140th anniversary of the foundation of the Seiko Company, Grand Seiko has created the Heritage platinum high-beat watch with an attractive dial design that captures the natural beauty of tree rings. This new automatic timepiece incorporates a powerful and distinctive overall design known as Series 9, which is set to be part of the future signature of Grand Seiko.

In perfect harmony with the delicate wood grain pattern of the dial, the platinum 950 case of the watch highlights alternate distortion-free mirror finish and hairline finish. The large sized hour hands align exactly with the grooved and prominent hour markers, enhancing the legibility.

The watch houses the Hi-Beat 36000 9SA5 movement. With its highly efficient Dual Impulse Escapement, Grand Seiko free-sprung balance and twin barrel construction, this automatic high-beat movement delivers a precision rate of +5 to -3 seconds a day. It has a power reserve of 80 hours. This meticulously finished movement is revealed through the sapphire crystal case back.

The star mark at six o’clock indicates that the indexes are solid gold, as are the GS letters, the calendar frame and the buckle. Thanks to its wide lugs and a large leather strap, the watch fits comfortably on the wrist.

Limited edition of 140 pieces, this timepiece will be available at the Grand Seiko Boutiques and selected Grand Seiko retailers worldwide in July 2021.
