Certina DS Podium Automatic Chronograph New Models
The DS Podium is a classic Certina sports watch. Its newest incarnation boasts contemporary look: the 44 mm stainless steel case frames a grey dial enhanced with a sunburst finish. It combines the sporty character of the popular product line with an exceptionally sophisticated new design.
Generously sized numerals and hour markers, the hands and the elegant borders of the chronograph counters set accents in red gold. Its distinctive pushers flank the screw-down and protected crown. A dark brown calfskin strap with crocodile imprint and butterfly closure ensures a secure fit on the wrist.
The automatic movement offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. Its innovative Nivachron TM balance spring offers secure protection against the ubiquitous magnetic fields of modern life. The movement can be admired through the glass case back.
The Swiss Made movement (ETA C01.211) is a reliable driver of the watch’s various functions: hours, minutes, small seconds and date displays along with a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a 6-hour counter at 6 o’clock. The displays are enhanced by a tachometric scale on the bezel, which serves to determine an average speed.
Two additional variants are available in the new look: a stainless steel version with a black dial and a red gold PVD model with a silver-coloured dial.
