Artisans de Genève – The Pearl Project

The Pearl Project by Artisans de Genève refers to an incredible bespoke work of a Nautilus 5711 watch, the iconic creation from the Patek Philippe® Manufacture.  As requested by an esteemed client, the high-end watch customization specialist based in Switzerland has reinterpreted his personal Nautilus timepiece into a skeleton watch.

Throughout this project, Artisans de Genève strived to preserve the manufacturer’s codes, while bringing their own vision. Beveling, polishing, satin finishing, circular-graining, forged carbon bezel. Each detail was carefully thought out and executed by the artisans all over Switzerland. A combination of arts and crafts carried out by passionate craftsmen.

The octogonal forged carbon bezel was developed specifically for this project. A signature of Artisans de Genève, the piece is handcrafted and enhances the timepiece’s sporty look while following the rounded lines of the case middle.

The dial was entirely skeletonized, then beveled by hand. It features a 12h/6h satin finishing endowed with a matte finish. The rose gold markers enhance the subtle color contrast. The hands were specifically developed for this project. They are carved, beveled, and satin-finished by hand and provide unparalleled readability.

The 26-330 calibre was entirely skeletonized. It took Artisans de Genève 3 years to achieve this design. Each piece is beveled by hand; some are satin-polished, others are circular-grained. Exclusively, for this project Artisans de Genève created a balance bridge with a mirror-polished finish. The gold rotor is skeletonized and beveled by hand; while delicately revealing the pure and graphic lines of the movement.
