Celebrating the upcoming release of the “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run”, Italian watch brand Unimatic has launched two SpongeBob SquarePants Modello Uno references, U1-SS2 and U1-SS3, both in limited editions of 100 pieces.
The Modello Uno U1-SS2, with its yellow matte base dial, yellow anodized aluminium insert, the multicolor whimsical face and the SpongeBob sock inspired white/blue/red second tip, bring out the benevolent attitude of SpongeBob SquarePants.
On the other hand, Modello U1-SS3 gives us more subtle take on the famous underwater character, with its black aluminium minimal insert, black matte dial with Super-LumiNova® C1 white depiction of SpongeBob SquarePants, that entirely glows in the dark, revealing the wacky face of the character.
Both of the casebacks feature a snorkelling SpongeBob Squarepants blueprint together with the individual serial number for each piece. The references are individually water resistance tested to 300m.
The U1-SS2 comes on a SpongeBob sock inspired white and yellow calf leather two piece strap with red and blue keepers, and stainless steel brushed hardware signed Unimatic, while the U1-SS3 on a black heavy-duty Unimatic nylon nato strap, stainless steel brushed hardware signed Unimatic, both with extra yellow two piece nylon strap.
Unimatic x SpongeBob SquarePants U1-SS2 and U1-SS3 models come with a retail price of 700 EUR (excl. VAT) for the U1-SS2 and 650 EUR (excl. VAT) for the U1-SS3.
