Independent Swiss luxury watchmaker LAURENT FERRIER celebrates its 10th anniversary by releasing the Classic Origin Opaline, featuring in a sporty Grade 5 titanium case.
In 2010, the Galet Classic won an award at the prestigious Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (GPHG).This watch was endowed with a tourbillon and a double balance spring as well as a classic, notably smooth, round case.
The LAURENT FERRIER Classic Origin Opaline watch proudly reflects the horology excellence of the Maison, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
This new watch features a classic-shaped case and a timeless dial that offers perfectly legibility. Assegai-shaped hour and minute hands calmly float above a silvery-white opaline dial.
The slate grey dial’s hour track is marked with burgundy-coloured numerals which prove highly legible, add a bit of sportiness, but remain tastefully understated. A small snailed seconds display, featuring baton-shaped hand is located above 6 o’ clock. All three hands are formed of 18-carat white gold.
Made of Grade 5 Titanium, its 40mm diameter case is strong, lightweight, corrosion-resistant and hypoallergenic. The Classic Origin Opaline watch is equipped with the Maison’s iconic ‘Ball-shaped’ crown, renowned for its ability to provide ultimate winding experience and quick time-setting.
Powering this timepiece, the hand-wound Calibre LF116.01 is visible via the exhibition case. This extremely refined mechanical movement is equipped with a free-sprung balance and a Breguet overcoil for enhancing precision. It mitigates positional errors and improves isochronism.
Rated for a power reserve of 80 hours, the movement is also equipped with the much-admired long-blade ratchet system. The Calibre LF116.01 also features haute-horlogerie finishing and decorations characteristic to LAURENT FERRIER. The bridges are decorated with a micro-blasted, black rhodium finish and hand-polished edges. Each screw head is mirror-polished and the escapement bridge is gracefully adorned with a hand-made interior angle.
The LAURENT FERRIER Classic Origin Opaline has a light brown Barbialla calf leather strap, lined with Alcantara and paired with a titanium pin buckle.
