French brand YEMA re-issues its retro-futuristic LED watch originally introduced in the 1970s, the era in which a radical shift in the watch making industry with the arrival of quartz and electronics technology. Available in silver and gold editions, the re-issue model captures the 1970’s retro-futuristic style while being functional and stylish.
This new YEMA timepiece incorporates a battery driven LED-quartz movement that provides an eye-catching digital display on the dial. This timepiece indicates time on demand. When the wearer pushes the button on the side of the case, the display energises. A second push on the button will reveal the current date, and a third one the seconds. In normal conditions, the watch remains in stand-by mode to preserve the battery.
The YEMA LED watch features a brushed / side polished stainless steel case redesigned in 3D as per the original 1970’s model. The case measures 37.5mm diameter and has a thickness of 10.5mm. Topped with a mineral crystal glass, the watch has a water resistance up to 100 meters. Rear side of the watch is secured with a stainless steel screw-down case back featuring YEMA’s historical crest.
The YEMA LED watch come with two push-buttons: One for energising display of hours, minutes, seconds and date. The second pusher is for settings. This timepiece is fitted with a brushed steel bracelet featuring an adjustable sliding clasp to fit all wrists. Lug width is 20mm.
This timepiece is available as from October 23rd, 2020 with retail price of US$ 249.00 for Silver version and US$ 279.00 for gold version.
